Samsung is preparing to launch its next foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 7, in July 2025. The company will unveil the device at its Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7. This new model is expected to bring major upgrades in design, performance, and camera technology.
Slimmer Design and Bigger Display
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be thinner than its predecessor. When unfolded, it will measure 3.9mm in thickness, making it one of the slimmest foldable phones. The outer display will be wider, offering a more natural smartphone experience when folded. The main screen will be 8.2 inches, while the cover display will be 6.5 inches. Both screens will feature AMOLED technology with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals.
Powerful Performance and Battery
Samsung is equipping the Galaxy Z Fold 7 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The phone will come with 12GB RAM and storage options up to 1TB. It will run on One UI 8, based on Android 16. The battery capacity will remain at 4,400mAh, supporting 25W fast charging.
Camera Upgrades
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will feature a triple-camera setup on the back. The main sensor will be 200MP, offering high-resolution photography. It will also include a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The front cameras will have 10MP on the cover screen and 4MP on the main display.
Expected Price and Availability
Samsung is likely to price the Galaxy Z Fold 7 similar to its predecessor. In India, the expected price is ₹1,64,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The phone will be available globally after its July 2025 launch.
